Heating Repairs Underway During Winter Storm!

A winter storm has brought havoc across much of the nation as it crawled east Sunday, pummeling the Southeast to include South Carolina with snow and sleet. McKeown’s Heating and Air Services is out working in this nasty weather doing heating repairs to Gas Packs, furnaces, and Heat Pumps, doing our best on keeping residents warm and safe.

Emergency officials were bringing in extra staff and cautiously monitoring whether ice accumulates under all the snow, making travel increasingly dangerous. McKeown’s Heating and Air Services utilizes four-wheel drive vehicles so we can reach customers in extreme weather conditions.

Duke Energy, headquartered in Charlotte N.C., estimated that half a million customers will lose service across the Carolinas. Duke Energy is bringing crews in from Florida, Kentucky, Ohio, and Virginia to respond to power outages. It typically takes Duke 12 to 24 hours to “fully assess damage from a significant weather event, even while simultaneously restoring power,” a Duke Power release” said. We recommend everyone to get either a backup generator or gas space heaters in case power is lost.

Our motto is “Your Comfort Comes First” that also includes everyone is safe and sound in weather like this.
